Architectural Designer

Adamick Architecture is looking to add a Full-Time Project Designer to our growing design team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a friendly, collaborative studio environment within an award-winning firm, while cultivating one’s design skills and professional growth. The Project Designer will support the Architecture Studio Manager and work collectively with Architecture and Interiors team members. We are seeking a highly motivated designer with 2+ years of experience, who will complement our team and bring inspiration to our projects. Our ideal candidate would meet the qualifications listed below and be able to manage the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in all phases of design: assist with schematic design, produce construction drawings, details, and schedules
  • Responsible for project communication and coordination between team members, clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Conduct field measurements and site visits as required
  • Prepare agendas and presentation documents for client meetings; attend meetings and take notes
  • Analysis and application of building and local zoning codes
  • Coordination with local historic districts and permitting processes

Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years of post-grad experience
  • Experience in custom residential and small-scale commercial projects (hospitality, retail & medical) preferred
  • Experience with historic preservation and historic buildings is a plus
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university
  • Pursuit of Licensure (NCARB/IDP) preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Proficiency in Sketchup is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a plus
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop is a plus
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in completing tasks
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and take initiative when appropriate
  • Willingness to be flexible, open to learning, take direction, and work positively in a team environment

Compensation for this position is commensurate based on experience and is eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus with additional bonus opportunities based on performance.

Schedule: This position is Full-Time (min. 40 hours per week), Monday – Friday. We primarily work in-office to sustain our collaborative culture, however, we offer work-from-home flexibility and flexible daily start/end times.
