Architectural Designer

Adamick Architecture is looking to add a full-time Architect to our growing design team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a friendly, collaborative studio environment within an award-winning firm, while cultivating your design skills and professional growth. The Architect will support the Principal Architect and work collectively with both the Architecture and Interiors teams. We are seeking a highly motivated Architect with 3+ years of experience who will complement our team and bring inspiration to our projects. Our ideal candidate would meet the qualifications listed below and be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead residential and commercial projects and serve as the primary client-facing contact; engage in all phases of design, produce construction drawings, details, and schedules
  • Manage project communication and coordination between team members, clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Conduct field measurements and site visits as required
  • Prepare agendas and presentation materials for client meetings; attend meetings and take notes
  • Analyze and apply building codes and local zoning regulations
  • Coordinate with local historic districts and navigate permitting processes

Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university
  • Architecture license
  • 3–10+ years of post-graduate experience
  • Experience in custom residential and small-scale commercial projects (e.g. hospitality, retail, medical) preferred; experience in institutional work valued (e.g. churches, schools, libraries)
  • Experience with historic preservation and historic buildings is a plus
  • Experience with FP&C projects is a plus
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Proficiency in SketchUp is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a plus
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in completing tasks
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative when appropriate
  • Willingness to be flexible, open to learning, take direction, and work positively in a team environment

Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience and is eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus with additional bonus opportunities based on performance.

Schedule: Full-time (minimum 43 hours per week), Monday through Friday. This is an in-office position to sustain our collaborative culture.
