Adamick Architecture worked with the homeowners of this historic sidehall shotgun in the Bywater to redesign the non-historic rear half of the existing building. A new one-story addition was designed to distinguish from the original house through its simple, contemporary materials and finishes, from the exterior to the interior. The redesign features a spacious primary suite, two guest bedrooms, secondary bathroom, and ample storage at the addition. The design also features a renovation of the existing historic kitchen and laundry room. We worked with the clients to specify all of the interior finishes at the kitchen and bathrooms, from the cabinetry to the decorative light fixtures, down to the grout colors and bathroom accessories. Sweeney Restoration completed the construction.
