Adamick Architecture was tasked with designing a second story addition and renovation to an existing single-family home in the Black Pearl that complemented its Eastlake Victorian details. The historic sidehall and double parlor was preserved, along with the existing commercial kitchen. A new stairwell was added at the center of the house, wrapping the surrounding walls to create a cozy den with a powder room tucked under the stair landing. Upstairs was designed to accommodate the homeowners’ growing family, with equal kids’ bedrooms, shared bathroom, laundry room, and generous primary suite, featuring a large bathroom and office. Dixie Construction was the contractor of record.
